Hoopa Valley/Trinity River
The community on the Hoopa Reservation is building resilience and food security. Together, we have:
- held a greywater/rainwater catchment workshop (2008)
- begun a 3/4 acre small scale organic farm (2009)
- held a Bay Area - Hoopa exchange with nearly 30 participants to prepare soil, dig beds, plant, discuss traditional planting techniques, install a rainwater catchment, and prepare for low-impact technologies such as drip irrigation (2010)
